John Beatty is a business advisor with a passion for helping owners of small to mid-sized companies conquer their toughest business challenges. He has served as President/CEO of Rotobrush International, rescuing the struggling manufacturing company.  He also served as Vice President of Titus and Vice President/Business Unit Leader of Jamak Manufacturing. John holds a BS in Engineering and an MBA.
<p><font size="3"><font face="Calibri">A former <b>CEO and President</b> of a Dallas-Ft. Worth area manufacturing company,<b> John Beatty</b> brings almost <b>30 years of diverse and substantive experience</b> to his role as Group Chair for Vistage International .<span>  </span>In 2010, after having been a Vistage group member, John was recruited by Vistage to lead its newest CEO group in Dallas, successfully launching the group soon after.<span>  </span></font></font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Calibri">Having graduated with an engineering degree from the University of Illinois, John’s career began as a Marketing Engineer with the Trane Company, where <b>he helped launch a successful new product line of commercial air conditioning equipment</b>.<span>  </span>From Trane, John moved to Johnson Controls where he was regularly promoted to positions of increasing responsibility, finally having <b>North American marketing responsibility </b>for parts sales, and earning an MBA from Marquette University at night. </font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Calibri">While at Johnson Controls, John was recruited by Titus to <b>head this $100 million division</b>, leading Titus to significant sales increases, and reorganizing the operation to increase customer service levels – and adding electronic tools when electronic tools were in their infancy. </font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Calibri">He was subsequently hired as <b>CEO and President</b> of Breathe Easy, Inc., with the task of turning around this manufacturing and sales company.<span>  </span>With the company faltering in his first months, John was forced to reach into the company’s bank revolver to make payroll – a sobering event.<span>  </span>Fast-forward a few years later, and the company is a <b>cash-generating machine</b>, having grown sales double-digits each year, paid off all debt, and increased gross margin percentages over 30%.</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Calibri">While searching for a company to buy and operate, John was asked to lead manufacturing company Jamak’s retail sales division, where he led his team to a <b>huge product placement of almost 1 million units</b> per year at a major Canadian retailer</font></p> <p><font size="3" face="Calibri">When not working with his CEO’s and other senior executives, John and his wife Donna practice yoga together and enjoy travelling.<span>  </span>John volunteers his time with the Dallas County Juvenile Detention system, working with juvenile offenders through mentoring sessions and training workshops.</font></p>
